Parker Phthalaldehyde Disinfectant OPA is used for high-level disinfection of flexible endoscopes that are not heat-resistant and pressure resistant. The main active ingredient is O-Phthalaldehyde

Usage Method

The original solution of this product can be used directly without activation or dilution.

Before disinfecting the endoscope, it must be washed clean to ensure that blood or other contaminants are removed from the surface and cavity of the instrument.

Immerse the endoscope to be disinfected in disinfectant solution, paying attention to fully soaking the inside of the instrument lumen. The soaking time for high-level disinfection at room temperature is 5 minutes.

After disinfection, the endoscope must be cleaned to eliminate residual disinfectant on the surface and cavity.

The automatic disinfection machine can calculate the amount of disinfectant used and execute the operation process according to the program set by the manufacturer.

Matters Needing Attention

1. This product is a medical product and should be used strictly according to the instructions. Do not let children come into contact with it.

2. When using with good ventilation, avoid inhaling disinfectant gas. When preparing and disinfecting, personal protection should be strengthened, rubber gloves and goggles should be worn. If eyes are injured, seek medical attention as soon as possible.

3. Direct contact between disinfectants and the skin can cause short-term staining. If accidentally in contact, please wash immediately with water or soap solution.

4. This product can be reused for 14 days, with a minimum usage concentration of 0.3%. According to the frequency of use, the concentration of disinfectant should be monitored using phthalaldehyde test strips before use to ensure the quality of disinfection.

5. This product should not be used to treat any urinary medical device for bladder cancer patients.

6. This product should be stored in a cool, dark, well ventilated environment, in a plastic container, and must not come into contact with sources of fire. It is strictly prohibited to mix with other disinfectants during use, and disposal should be carried out in accordance with relevant regulations after use.
